Boarding horses: choose a contract, meet targets and get paid

Find boarding requests in the office’s Boarders binder. Read the stay, daily fee and care or schooling targets before accepting, then reserve a real stable place and provide those services until departure. Fees are paid at the end of the stay. More prestige means more available requests; a lack of requests is different from a lack of stalls.

The decision, step by step

  1. Read the request in the office

Enter the Main House office and open the Boarders binder. Check the owner’s requested service, stay, payment and any target stats. Use the actual offer in your save for the final fee and deadline. The service types and indicative fees below are reported by the launch management guide.

  2. Choose the workload you can sustain

Part board is the simplest option when you want a manageable first contract. Full board needs individual care; schooling board adds a training deadline. Accept schooling only when the starting horse, its training headroom and the stay allow a credible route to every target.

Full boardIndividual grooming, feed/grain and medical care alongside ordinary care90 coins/day
Schooling boardCare plus requested Confidence, strength and endurance targetsAbout 90/day plus a one-time schooling fee
  3. Reserve the stall and fund care before payment

A boarder occupies stable space. Count your own horses and upcoming adult/yearling moves before accepting. Payment comes at the end of the stay; keep enough cash for the intervening running costs, feed and necessary medical care.

  4. Track progress while there is time to recover

Include the boarder in group supply and individual checks every day. For schooling, compare current Confidence, strength and endurance with the contract targets after sessions. Use Confidence Training for trust and appropriate arena/trail work for physical stats. Do not spend the whole exercise allowance on the wrong target, or cross the red marker to catch up on the last day.

  5. Check the contract outcome on departure

Before the last day, inspect condition, Medical status and any unfulfilled targets. At the end of the stay, check the settlement rather than counting expected gross fees as cash already received. Neglect can reduce payment or lead to a fine and prestige loss. Adjust the next contract to the work you actually managed.

What success looks like

The horse completes its stay with required welfare and schooling targets satisfied, and the final settlement is received. Your own horses still have suitable housing and care throughout.

If the result is different

If there are no suitable requests, check the binder and work on prestige instead of buying stalls alone. If a schooling target is lagging, choose the session for that specific stat and leave recovery time. If a penalty occurs, read the failed requirements before accepting another contract of the same difficulty.
